Dr. Wade W. Nobles is considered one of the leading architects in the development of the discipline of Black psychology in the USA. He is the co-founder and Past President of the Association of Black Psychologists; the founder and Executive Director of the Institute for the Advanced Study of Black Family, Life and Culture, Inc.; and Professor Emeritus of Africana Studies and Black Psychology in the Department of Africana (Black) Studies, at San Francisco State University. Dr. Nobles is the author of over (100) publications; the co-author of the seminal article in Black Psychology, Voodoo or IQ: An Introduction to African Psychology, the author the anthology, Seeking the Sakhu: Foundational Writings in African Psychology and The Island of Memes: Haiti’s Unfinished Revolution as well as several other books and manuscripts.
